Net Impact is an international nonprofit organization with a mission is to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

Spanning six continents, our membership makes up one of the most influential networks of MBAs, graduate students, and professionals in existence today. Net Impact members are current and emerging leaders in CSR, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability who are actively improving the world.

What is Net Impact?

• A network of more than 15,000 new generation leaders committed to using the power of business to improve the world

Who are Net Impact members?

• MBA students, graduate students in related fields, a select group of undergraduate students, business and nonprofit professionals, and other current and emerging leaders dedicated to improving the world through business
• Net Impact is non-exclusionary. While the above categories are our core member focus, we accept members of all backgrounds who have at least two years of professional experience

What is the difference between Net Impact in my city and Net Impact central?

• Net Impact is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with an office in San Francisco. Our chapters, in graduate/ undergraduate schools and cities, are separate groups that affiliate with Net Impact. We support local chapters through providing tools, best practices, events, a chapter leader network, and programs for members to participate in. Chapters are asked to follow basic requirements and adhere to the Net Impact mission; however, they are run by volunteer leaders who set goals and activities with a high level of autonomy. Net Impact is not directly responsible nor liable for chapter activities.

How can I start a Net Impact chapter at my school or community?

• Starting a chapter is a great opportunity to unite, inspire and mobilize new-generation leaders in your school or community and to join the movement to shape the future of business and society. Net Impact Central can provide you with a comprehensive toolkit to help you plan events, recruit members, win faculty support, influence curriculum and gain visibility on your campus. Why does Net Impact charge annual dues?

• Grants and fundraising cover only a fraction of the costs to support our 15,000-person network. We depend on modest annual membership dues to continue to expand and strengthen the network that our members value.

Can I receive a trial membership?

• Net Impact does not offer a trial membership, but we encourage people to sign up for free as a newsletter subscriber today!

How does Net Impact get its funding?

• Net Impact receives support from a variety of sources including: national and local foundation grants; corporate sponsorships; membership dues; fee-for-service arrangements; and individual donations.
